We are seeking to expand our graphic design/advertising design/creative artist core capabilities by hiring a full-time graphic artist. The successful candidate will possess the ability to visualize the best way to communicate a message about the product or service being advertised, and will have a demonstrated record of executing highly creative concepts for commercial clients in digital and traditional media. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a visually pleasing or memorable image for a wide-range of clients and industries that communicates a message, sells a product or creates a corporate identity.

The candidate will be primarily responsible for planning, analyzing and creating visual solutions to our clients’ communications problems. We will judge candidates on their ability to find the most effective way to get messages across in print and electronic media using color, type, illustration, photography, animation and various print and layout techniques. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the overall layout and production design of Internet Web pages, interactive media and multimedia projects.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts (Preferred), Studio Arts, Graphic Design, Interactive Media, Digital Media, Visual Communications or Advertising Design.
Production Software Proficiency: Skilled in using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver) and Flash, with three to five years experience in Web site production/interface design, illustration software, desktop publishing programs and digital photography.
Business Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Traditional Production: Experience/knowledge of traditional graphic arts methods and a proficiency in industry standard packages for illustration, print and photography, a plus.
This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary (reviewed annually) and employee benefit package (IRA, flexible spending accounts, vacation, sick leave, medical, dental, etc.). We expect individuals in this position to work 40-50 hours per week. Successful candidates are subject to a full background investigation and drug-test (conducted by a third party) prior to commencing employment.
